The PEICC AGM will be May 13th this year. It will be held in the Studio Theatre at the Confederation Centre of the Arts, in Charlottetown. The meeting will start with a potluck and social hour at 6:00 pm and then move into the Business Meeting at 6:45 pm.

The PEICC is pleased to announce that we are producing the 2013 Discover PEI Studios Map this year (formerly produced by InnovationPEI) and we are looking for new studios to participate. If you are operating a studio or shop open to the public this season, why not get a listing on the Studio Map. Over 20,000 copies of the map will be produced and distributed throughout the Island this summer. The 2013 PEI Craft and Giftware Buyers’ Market is coming fast!
January 18th and 19th at the Conferderation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown.
The PEI Craft and Giftware Buyers’ Market is an annual two-day event that brings retailers and producers together. Held early in the New Year, it’s an opportunity for retailers who engage in wholesale trade to source new and favourite Island crafts and giftware for the upcoming season. Seminars and networking opportunities are also a big part of this event that welcomes retailers from on-Island and off. This year the event is being managed by the PEI Crafts Council.

Prince Edward Island’s biggest wholesale show will be hosted by the PEI Crafts Council January 18-19th, 2013. Nearly 50 exhibitors will fill the Confederation Centre of the Arts with their quality products. From jewelry to soap, glass-work to wood-work, there will be something for every retailer.
The 13th Annual PEI Craft, Art & Giftware Buyers’ Market will kick-off with a seminar on HST and award luncheon Friday, January 18th, followed by the wholesale show from 1-7pm. There will be a seminar breakfast on Saturday, January 19th with the wholesale continuing from 10-4pm.
Retailers interested in discovering PEI products are invited to attend.

The 2013 PEI Buyers’ Market takes place January 18-19th at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. Nearly 50 local artisans will be exhibiting their work for retailers to place orders, make connections and learn more about each product.
In addition to the wholesale aspect, there will be 2 complimentary seminars offered:
HST Information Session hosted by Jennifer Dunn from BDO. This will take place Friday, January 18th from 10:30-11:30am at Murphy’s Community Centre Room 207
Social Media Seminar hosted by Suzanne Scott from Village Pottery. This will take place Saturday, January 19th from 9-10am at the Studio Room Theatre in Confederation Centre of the Arts.
Both events are free for all exhibitors and retailers at the PEI Buyers’ Market. Hope to see you there!
PEI Craft Council Board of Directors meets once a month to discuss new business and to oversee operation of the Council activities. Any member is welcome to attend a meeting or to submit a topic for review/discussion/consideration at any Board Meeting. The time and location of the meeting varies each month so it is recommended that you contact the coordinator early to get all the information needed.
