WOOD > CARVING
Amy Liz Upcycled - Amy Robertson
I started making whales a few years ago out of wood I found, salvaged, or scrounged around Prince Edward Island. I work out of my home in Brackley PE but have strong ties to Souris as well. Each whale I make is hand drawn, cut, carved and painted by me. I never know how my whales will come out and no 2 are ever the same. Each whale is named and a few - whose personalities come out while I am working on them - get a story. I do my best to use upcycled materials from wood, hardware and paint. Upcycling presents a welcomed challenge artistically and always ensures my whales are unique.
