Driftwood Folk art by Clark and Maureen Fryday
Clark and Maureen Fryday of Stanhope, PEI have collected folk art and antiques for 40+ years. Our enthusiasm for collecting has taken us from coast to coast. Our collection includes many pieces by well known Canadian folk artists as well as less recognized artists who have a passion for their craft.
We have transitioned from collecting to creation of our own unique pieces over the past few years. Walking the beaches across the island has spurned an interest to use driftwood as a medium for our sculptures. Each piece is totally unique and one of a kind. An item may be similar but no two pieces will be identical. Other themes such as Christmas are used to create many additional pieces.
We are proud to be members of the PEI Crafts Council and look forward to further participation.
We hope that through our passion for folk art is reflected in our pieces and that they will put a smile on your face and encourage you to collect.
