Kro in the Skye: Cathy Krolikowski
With more than 20 years creating stained glass art, Cathy is able to bring her original designs to life in a spectacular way. Using the techniques of selective cutting, fused glass, and hand painted kiln fired glass she transforms the nature that inspires her into unique works of art.
Born in Toronto Ontario, Cathy Murchison/Krolikowski now calls Point Prim Prince Edward Island home, where her family roots go back many generations to the Selkirk settlers from the Isle of Skye in Scotland, thus the name Kro In The Skye Art Studio. Her art studio and gallery overlook the beautiful Northumberland Strait on ancestral land just a mile from the historical Point Prim Lighthouse where her grandfather was a keeper for 35 years. She finds no shortage of inspiration from the natural surroundings at her doorstep in this breathtaking place she calls home.
