Kuko Creations: Ashley Perry
Ashley Perry was born and raised in the GTA of Ontario. She graduated from a regional arts high school for visual art, pursued fashion design at George Brown College, and attended Dalhousie University for costume studies. She's always had an eye for design and wearable art, deeply influenced by historical designs, fantasy and science fiction media, and she loves combining it all together to see what comes of it. She's been making jewelry since 2013, leaning heavily into steampunk aesthetics and other retro-futurism styles for the first little while, and then embracing resin as another medium by which to express herself and her ideas. Many of her pieces are experimental and one of a kind. Her latest collection explores nautical fairytale-like inspiration, everything from mermaids to jellyfish, a nod to the Maritimes that she now calls home.
